    Description

Vintage Carved AYO Mancala Oware Seed African Nigeria Game Board Old Folding
This is a very nice folding board game that has some age I am not sure how much.
I also think it is similar to other games I have listed in the title.
Measures approximately 13 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 7 1/2 folded. You were double that length open. It is a nice word I am not sure what type with very good hinges on it.
Has original seeds to the game.
The game is old and the wood has swelled in certain parts so the little tiny hook on the end does not close.
This one says Ayo Nigeria games board on it and it is original.
Very nice unique piece for your collection of wonderful board games for the family!

Ayo Olopon is a traditional game played by the Yoruba people of Nigeria.
It is a game that requires a lot of brain power and mathematical skill.
Ayo is played in a carved wooden box, containing twelve holes (six holes on each side), and forty-eight Ayo seeds (four seeds in each hole).

It is similar to the Oware game that is known across the Americas which was originally introduced from Africa.
It also has a lot of similarity to mancalas, which is derived from the Warri people of Nigeria.
Also called Kalah or Ayo-ayo variances of the board game have the same rules.
