The Viewsonics VSMA-601C is an 1-port 15dB Mini (Small Form Factor) amplifier. One port amplifiers are the easiest to install, and are best suited for connecting to your incoming cable line before you start splitting off the line to go to multiple TVs. The VSMA-601C is generally the best for use in existing installations, since it is easy to install, hook up power with cable IN and cable OUT with coax cable (not included). The VSMA-601C features include 6kV combination wave surge protection on the FG input port and 6kV ring wave surge protection on RF output/remote power port. This is the highest level of surge protection available. In addition, all ports are nickel-plated, precision-machined brass with 360 stule F Port inserts and are hermetically sealed to withstand 30psi of pressure for 60 seconds. The zinc die cast housing is triple plated for maximum corrosion resistance, even in the harshest environment. The unit can be powered by the 110/VAC/12VDC power adapter included or with an optional power inserter (sold separately)
