Great looking vintage R. Merkelbach Wine/Beer Pitcher/Jug. In excellent condition, has been displayed in our smoke free home. Handmade & incised in the Westerwald Region of Germany. Handmade & incised. Marked on bottom with:
R. Merkelbach - handgeritzt ( incised by hand).
Colors are cobalt blue & brown. Pitcher is approx. 8 1/2" tall, circumference is apron. 21 1/2". Solid & heavy stoneware.
